Who will be the starters and BU's for this year's team?

We know for sure or at least 99% sure that barring injuries, that Bays, Clemons and April Wilson will start and play a boatload of minutes for this team. I'm going to say Hamby starts the season as the starting SG because of experience, but boy I would love to see her "break out" this season, and then the SF position could go to the Freshman Moore, or Perry.

I really love Perry's potential but she played like a freshman too often last season, and Moore is supposedly the "jewel" of the freshman class. But they could go "big" and start Horrocks at C at 6'5 with Bays and Clemons up front and April Wilson and Perry in the backcourt. Lots of flexibility again this season for SV.

So I'm guessing based on experience that the Starting 5 will be:

PF- Bays
C-Clemons
SF-Perry
PG-Wilson
SG-Hamby

And Moore, Thornton. Morrissette, Horrocks, and Hall, (and in January) Bodnar off the bench.

Any thoughts?

Wish Bays was a Jr. instead of a Sr. Would love to be able to have her on the same team as the great incoming 2015 class.

How good are the 2 Centers, Bodnar and Horrocks?

I'm guessing that by 2016 when the 2 Centers, and Moore and Perry and Morrissette amd Hall are seasoned along with the great incoming '15 class, that Purdue will finally have another NCAA FF caliber team, at least on paper.

Imho this season will hinge on how quickly the freshmen get up to speed and who can take over the SG position, can Hamby actually contribute and be a scoring threat, or will Morrissette emerge, and can Perry take it to the next level. Love the potential of Moore and having 2 real post players for a change. I think Wilson, Bays and Clemons will be solid but if Perry takes it to another level and Morrissette emerges as a go-to 3pt shooter and the Centers and Moore are legit, this could be a very exciting season. Lots of "ifs" though! Boiler Up!

Lots of ifs, but lots of options too. So coaching matters and we have a veteran coach. Loss of Redmon and then Bodnar for awhile will sting, but virtually every team has those kinds of things happen. We have experience and depth and that matters. I expect this team to finish in top 5 of BT and be playing its best at the end of the season.

Replacing C-Mo will be the most difficult task. Her mental toughness and positive, can-do attitude was outstanding. ...and those dagger 3-pt shots when the team was flagging... who will step into that role?

I think we have several guards who would love to take on that role. I guess we'll see who is really up for it. :)

Wilson is really good and could have a great season, but this year it is our front line that will carry us and not so much the guards. We will have good guard play but that will not be the strength of this team.

Replacing Courtney Moses will be huge, the biggest challenge the team faces imho, and it would be nice if Hamby can "breakout" and be that 3 pt threat, but if not her I think it will be Morrissette. But how that position gets filled and how they play will be huge.

Believe me when I say this, but Erica Moore is the real deal. Has the bloodlines( her father won a Super Bowl with the NY Giants and her little brothers are probably going to play D1 in basketball and football respectively) and she has the motor and strength to be a threat in the post her freshmen year.

I would know because I'm good friends with her older brother and have met her a few times.
