Who were they kidding...he was NEVER going anywhere.

I'm surprised he didn't declare just so he can get the feedback from the NBA.
Absolutely. I assumed both he and TKR would at least declare provisionally for the draft and go through the evaluation process. I was kindof surprised they hadn't already. Maybe Braden already has the info he needs?

I wonder if this means Braden knows what TKR plans to do.

1. Shave the beard and keep the goatee.
2. Surround the core with equally matched talent at the 3-5 so two squads can extend more energy on D and O throughout the season.
3. Come to play in Nov and Dec, appear to be a dominating force, taking on any and all challengers across this great land.

I think TKR has this same sort of announcement tomorrow.

And then on Wednesday, Omer Mayer commits.

Purdue and the team is intentionally stringing together a series of exciting announcements to build even more momentum in the basketball world.

That would make it move a little down there.

That would be quite a week! Here's hoping.

Guess or some kind of inside knowledge?

My wife agrees especially with 1

Neither a guess nor inside information. A go-to-market projection. Just a great approach to marketing the team and instilling trepidation in the competition! 😁

And it could get future high school and transfer players excited to witness how Purdue builds dominant teams. Something that they want to be a part of.

Me too, but maybe in this world of agents and what-not, maybe he already has it. I don't think he needs to go through the process to learn he needs to be 3 inches taller.
I think you nailed it. Between agents and MP and other connections (Fletch’s dad is a lead scout), I’m not sure how much incremental value going through that NBA process provides.

What they likely needed to hear was that he’s not a first round lock at this point he didn’t need to go through that process to hear it. That may change after he puts up the best season by a point guard in modern history this coming season.

Female is the least cringey word in my lexicon for women.
this conversation reminds me of a joke, 2 nuns are on a bus and one is playing a crossword puzzle, she goes to the other nun, sister what's a 4 letter word for a woman that ends in u n t ? the other nun says why that would be Aunt of course, the nun playin the puzzle replies " do you have an eraser ?"

I’m sure had big time offers, I hope this stops the Purdue has no money stuff that we often hear about, Purdue is every bit as big time in hoops as anyone else, hopefully, they’re seen that way.
Right? All other teams think Purdue is “poor” cuz Purdue isn’t loud about how much NIL they have or spend. They think since we aren’t getting the “top recruits” or “top transfers” we must not have money.

Far from it. But keep letting em think that 😂

"This story started with Matt Painter choosing a kid from Westfield, Indiana to be his program's point guard when no other program wanted him. That point guard has now returned the favor, choosing Purdue when every other program in the country wanted him.

Both sides hope the story ends in Indianapolis hoisting Purdue's first national title trophy."

Wow Casey, great words. Goosebumps.
