We could be so good with that shut down perimeter defender, could have used 2 today. I think Morton is the best in terms of staying in front of his guy, ivey may be best guard at protecting the rim, and sasha or Newman may be best in your face but that’s not saying much. I thought Furst looked good at getting on top of his guy today too.

He and Hunter down the stretch were playing some of the best backcourt D I've seen this year from this team.
If there is a “bigger” type of guard, you probably need Morton. If they guy is 6’4” or smaller EHJ and Ivey are probably the answer. We don’t have a “shut down” sort of guy.

indianas starting 2 (Stewart) is 6-5 and their 3 (Kopp) is 6-7. I hope Hunter plays Stewart. Ivey is 6-4 and sasha 6-5, you don’t think they can handle Kopp and we need Morton? I’m nervous about Kopp drawing 3s on us it always seems like we have a random 3/4 having a career night from 3 when we can’t seem to close him out with this team (Plummer, Davison, that guy from Nichols State, Harper Jr, Caleb Daniels). I think we’ll do fine if we close out ok but that means we don’t have as much help on TJD.
Height and size is one factor. The opponents skill set is important too. We need to keep the guys out of the lane. We need to contest 3’s without fouling. I don’t know that IU has any guards that take a guy off the court.
I’ve watched IU enough this year to know that we should probably double TJD. We can’t let him go crazy. If we keep him under 20, I like our chances. IU is good defensively. I expect it to be close.
Eh, I'm not too worried about Sasha guarding Kopp. Kopp seems like a 3 point shooter exclusively and won't put the ball on the floor and go to the basket which is where SS gets burned
