Two things here. 1) the people who always come out with that repetitive old stale comment about living in moms basement are the ones living in moms basement. 2) Yes sports teams practice. Yes they're supposed to get faster and more athletic. It's called a gym, training, a weight room. Ever hear of a gym?
I mean if Swan listened to that advice he'd still look like he did in those young pictures they show on tv barely able to run a lap around the track. Meanwhile now he's an all American. Put down the pizza and the chips and your Xbox and go try running around the track a few times. Generally people lose weight when they keep that up.
#1: If you are going to reference a post, make sure you reply to the right person. I'm fairly confident I didn't once say you lived in your mother's basement. I've fallen on my fair share of hard times as a single dad on a teacher's salary and currently live with my mom as I rebound from a horrible divorce (full custody of both of my son's in Indiana is no small feat considering both were under 3 when I filed)...I'm not one to poke fun at that without knowledge of an individual's personal story, of which I am only familiar with one poster here enough to comment and he usually sticks to the premium board.
#2 To expect a man who is above 7 foot tall and in the mid 250's to suddenly become more athletic and faster (in your terms) at this point in his college career is asinine. He is LIGHT YEARS ahead of where he was when he came in as a freshman and given the ability to do so full time at the next level, he may be able to improve more...but in one off-season while having a class load of summer courses and his other commitments is dumb.
