What was with the IU crowd on Saturday night?

Are you sure that picture was from Saturday?... there is sidewalk chalk visible on the concrete, which isn't exactly a common sight during winter with the regular moisture.

What? No, I was just saving that picture for this special moment, and I finally got to use it. Yay! lmao Not only did the students treat it like a national championship game, but there was rumors about the team coming back out to cut down the nets, and IU hanging another banner next to their NCAA Best Tournament Team Ever banner... lol

I'm not really talking about the behavior of the fans. I wasn't there and can't comment on that. Just on tv the atmosphere seemed pretty dead to me.
I was there in gold and black and they were not classy (whomever said that is wrong). They were also very loud like Mackey and the student section WAS yelling non-classy things to purdue coaches and players (from time to time---not all the time). I didn't expect them to be classy or behave with the enemy colors on, no way that was going to happen. Kind of like going to a Pittsburgh game with Colts jersey on (I've done that too,,,,BIG mistake). However, I have been to many Purdue games at assembly hall and things haven't really changed over the years other than the BIG HEADS and things like that. There are a lot of classy fans there so it goes both ways. But rest assured it was very loud (decibel-wise)...to the point where you get the ringing in your ears for a bit , then it goes away, then they go on a run (IU) and it starts back up again.

I was there in Gold & Black, and experienced no issues from anybody other than a few boos when people saw me. I was on the student section side, lower level about half way up. In the past I always had people give me a hard time, but not this time. Of course students occasionally chanted vulgar things, but what student section doesn't. I disagree about the noise level. One of the loudest Purdue games I've attended was vs West Virginia a few years ago. The noise was deafening, and my ears were ringing. The noise level at IU never comes close to this level, or intensity.

I wasn't comparing it to Mackey as far as specific games , just a general comparison. You must not have been sitting in an "Audible" area, some parts of AH carry sound better and my ears were busted up good. You must be partially deaf.
