I think it's only a matter of time before we have a big incident with one team storming the opposing sideline in order to obtain a trophy. Personally I think the captains of each team should have to meet at midfield to exchange it.

Place it on the bench furthest away from the direct line to the locker rooms and move your team to the other side...it’s as simple as that. Allows the other team to congregate there while your team can get off the field/shake hands.
