a few weeks ago they were a top 5 team. Now they are losing to teams like Nebraska. They got to be going nuts in Bloomington.

What happened....James Blackmon playing for a paycheck. OG playing for a paycheck. Bryant playing immature and for a paycheck. No point guard. Tom Crean coaching for accolades and personal ego. No team play..... It's become a total CF in Bloomington.

I doubt Crean survives this season. If he does, than Fred Glass is his only fan. Even Creans wife is probably sick of his crap basketball strategies.

No. And most fans realize that isn't realistic. We just want an upgrade from Crean.
Well he was the best available coach willing to take on the mess from Sampson. I don't like the guy at all and particularly how he handles himself, but I think he did ok with bringing the program out of the ashes. I hope he stays as long as possible because he is an easy coach to hate on, but unfortunately his time seems limited.

They have a lot of talent but maybe The Clapper hasn't figured out how to use it.
I don't feel bad for them but they're the type of team that can make a tourney run If hey can get into co-Rec types of games.

Kansas and UNC weren't competition?

Kansas was a glorified exhibition game that ended up being a parade to the free throw line as the refs made a mockery of it by enforcing rules in the first game of a season that they never intended to enforce all the way through the season. Actually similar to how they ruined our game against Villanova.

expectations are always high there. won the big ten championship last season and people were still complaining. wonder when enough is enough for crean?

I've told you all here time and time again. Do you ever listen? (TIC) Anybody, I mean ANYBODY can recruit great players to IU. Crean is a terrible, horrible, pathetic game coach. Can he recruit? Yeah, anybody can. Walk them through Assembly Hall and show off the banners, trophies and the pomp with a dog and pony show. Not to mention that State named schools have an advantage. The place sells itself. I feel just like I did in Knights last 5-10 years. I don't fear him and wish he'd stay forever.

I think the point is IU tends to schedule a couple tough ones which is great but while most teams fill with some smaller conference teams who will compete for their title, IU consistently plays the lowest of the lower level teams. Just look at the numbers and you'll see it.

I think teams that play full court and push the ball all the time are better tuned up early...same with pressing teams. Basketball is taught in the half court and played in the full :) Teams a little slower to get it together probably play a little slower...maybe have more sets and definitely more half court play. Don't forget that IU has a lot of talent as well and they can go off on any game...

The Hoosiers are in a must win at home against the Illini. IU's schedule is loaded with home games up front. If they lose them as they have been then hit a big road heavy section of schedule it will get ugly fast.

He will be drafted, he's the best shooter in the Big Ten.

Blackmon is not even in the discussion of best shooters.....here are the stats....

B1G's best shooters in conference games so far- guys that have taken @ least 10 3s:
1. Bronson Koenig, Wisconsin 70.0%
2. Glynn Watson Jr., Nebraska 68.4%

And since the season started --all games guys shooting 25 or more threes:
1. Brady Ellingson, Iowa 57.1%
2. D'Mitrik Trice, Wisconsin 54.3%
3. Dakota Mathias, Purdue 49.3%
4. Tracy Abrams, Illinois 49.2%
5. Nathan Taphorn, Northwestern 47.7%
6. Moritz Wagner, Michigan 47.1%
7. Glynn Watson Jr., Nebraska 46.4%
8. Ryan Cline, Purdue 45.1%
9. Vincent Edwards, Purdue 44.1%
10. Vic Law, Northwestern 44.1%

Well....let's see.....it all started with a boy named Kent Harvey......
Actually, it started with a bully. Harvey just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. If it hadn't been him, it would have eventually been someone else.

Simple. If they always win, they can't say "we're back." That's why they go through these slumps...to give the fans another chance to parade around saying "we're back."

One question...an honest answer

Maybe....maybe not. Knight had assembled that "next" team and with Scott May's kid coming to IU with Jeffries and Haston, Fife, Odle, and the rest that Davis rode to the FF, Knight had the next banner. And Brand knew that Knight, if he did win another, would be secure as long as he wanted. Knight had done far more to be fired than grabbing a kid by the arm and teaching him a few manners.

Doing that then when Knight had struggled a bit in winning says a lot about the make up of those at IU at the time

What a load of crap. Knight had good players, the age of brutally treating them was over.

Blackmon is 43.4% shooting 99 attempts and is on everyone's top scouting report. Just guessing you don't think that matters.
