Most boilers increase their size and weight looks like he and Loyer miss the workouts

His confidence level is down, hopefully, it comes back. Him not playing a lot of minutes hurts with this, probably feels he has to do something in his 12-15 minutes he’s out there. He’ll be ok.

I agree. I really hope he gets it together and fulfills the promise he showed as a freshman.
Edey returning wasn’t the best of news for Caleb, next year he’ll every every opportunity to start and play 25 minutes a night.

Loyer doesn't have the body to put on noticeable muscle. But I'd wager his bench press is up pretty significantly since arriving on campus.
and lats (rebounding) and triceps (dribbling and shooting)

He’s playing out of position. Furst is chiseled as hell. He’s just not a great shooter. He’s a 5, not a 4.
The problem is he SHOULD BE a better shooter! Shooting is something that can be improved a lot. Can help quickness and strength as well as quicker reads on O and D, but shooting is something you can make huge strides in...just need the "proper" reps

He does not fit Purdue's scheme at all at the 4. When he's in he's trys to play the Gillis/Eifert role which doesn't suit him at all. Hes not that type of effort/glue guy that can consistently hit open 3s. If he played at the 5 with a style like Haarms, I think he would thrive.

You mean unlike last season when he played great with Zach and was a significant force on the glass?

He's not bad at the 4. I believe anyone opposite of Edey is going to grab boards because of all the attention on Zach. I think Furst gives it his all when hes on the court. By saying he's not an effort/glue guy I mean that he has the potential and abilities to have more of an impact. Hopefully he'll get his chance next season and will shine.

I love Caleb. He is a great hustler and an excellent team defender. I am imagining that he went left most of the time in practice, and Edey expects that. Therefore, in practice and now in games, he goes right. I think he needs more practice going left. He shoots much better that way. and he can easily develop his hook shot more too.
