What are you looking forward to the most this season?

Probably the most jacked I've been since Hummel's soph. season. Couple of things I'm looking forward to in no particular order

Revenge game in Mackey vs. Vandy-They are ranked this year, and Damion Jones is a 1st team all SEC. Will be a good test for AJ, and Haas. To put it lightly, they put a hurting on us last year, (was at the game) so a little payback against a ranked team in December is always nice.

Winning a game at the Cross Roads classic. Nothing left to be said here

Beating IU at Assembly, our only meeting this year and could be a ESPN Gameday with both teams being ranked. This needs to get back to the best rivalry in bball.

Deep run in the tournament (Final 4), this is the one thing that has eluded Painter in his tenure. The tournament is all about match-ups, and who's hot in March. He needsto get the monkey off his back, and this is the team to do it.

Win the games they are supposed to in pre-conference which should be all of them this year...

There is no one thing. It's everything. I'm looking forward to getting answers to so many questions.

How does the defensive intensity carry over from the end of last year?
What is the first starting lineup, and for how many games does that last before it changes?
How good are the freshmen/newcomers?
How much improvement by the returnees?
How many blocks per game will Hammons average?
Does Haas lose the timidness from last year and become a little more "mean"/aggressive?
Can Swanigan (I really don't like the "Biggie" nickname, personally; sounds demeaning/derisive) lead the league in rebounding as a freshman?
Can Cline really shoot the rock like Mount, as sometimes mentioned?

And the questions go on and on and on...

Bottom line, I want the season to start. NOW!

I'm tired of rooting for losing causes (Purdue football, Cubs, STL Rams, etc.) - it's time to cheer for a dominating winner!

Moose

Obviously the IU game is big,. although my inclination would be the same as BBG. But beating the Hoosiers on their hardwood with the homer officials would just be so so sweet. (That big POP you heard was crapsense's head exiting his rectum so he could post some blather on Peegs about how I said Purdue was a lock to win the game.)

Pretty much all of the above... one thing not mentioned is a healthy group of three point shooters. If they play to their potential, and the PG position plays well, this team is going to be really, really good. Game 1 can't get here fast enough for me after a disappointing football season and the Cubs getting swept, and knocked out on "Back to the Future Day" no less.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the players' hard work in the off-season translates to improvement. Will Ray pull a Cuonzo this year and fill it up from 3? Will AJ, Isaac, and Caleb have a few more inches of lift that makes their game in the paint that much more lethal? Will PJ have a new top gear that he can use in various ways like LewJack did with his speed & quickness? Will guys historically plagued by turnovers protect the basketball better? There are hopes like this for all the players, and it's going to be so much fun seeing which ones come to fruition.

And via the above, I'm looking forward to seeing our team do a lot of winning. Boiler Up!

I'm looking forward to :
(1) Beating our foremost rival, MSU - twice
(2) Beating our other in-state BIG school, IU
(3) Giving Maryland a new treat of playing a game in Mackey
(4) Sending Vlad back home to Whisky with a big "L"

I am looking forward to watching them grow as a team, and reaching the potential they certainly appear to have.

i'm excited to see how RayD leads this team. He had a rough first 2 years after being a high school star. He is wise beyond his years and has become the epitome of a team captain/leader. He is a/the difference maker. I can't wait to see him as a head coach in the future.

Davis has already demonstrated 3 important abilities that we associate with being a successful coach

1. Transforming program culture

2. Recruiting

3. Related to 1. and 2. - the force of personality and character to get people to buy in and follow his leadership

I see that he is also majoring in management - which at Purdue is quant-driven and more challenging than your normal business administration programs - this man has future success stamped all over him

Proud to count Davis as a fellow Boilermaker

Don't forget about beating Butler. I'm not sure if Painter has beaten them yet. It would be nice to end that streak and our losing streak in the Crossroads Classic in general. It is long overdue.

Start a winning streak against Butler, please! Payback for Vandy. Get a W for the ACC Challenge. Win the HOF Tip-off tourney. Charge into conference play unbeaten and with a set rotation. Play with confidence and poise. Get revenge on Wiscy, MSU, Mary and of course win at Ass Hall. Make ESPN put us on Sportscenter regularly. Go all the way. That's all. Btfu!
