Thankfully UNC didn't win. Congrats to 'Nova....coaching and a lucky 3 won the game.Just wow
I agree, that was a GREAT play. Now ...NC's last three ... THAT was damn lucky!!!!!!!!1How in the world was that a lucky 3? It was a great play!

I was thinking the exact same thing.Just a phenomenal game to watch. Both teams really brought it and played well. Something to behold. Not only that, but the composure and moxie of both teams was great to watch.
Feel for the Carolina team. They played very well and responded well being down in 2nd half.
Jenkins shot ... just wow!
Can't help but think that we would have been mopped off the floor with either team.
Disagree The 1985 Villanova - Georgetown Final game is still the best Final game I ever saw, This one was up there but that 1985 game was an underdog playing the perfect game to upset a great great team. That's the best NCAA Tourney title game I've ever seen. I know there's been 77 others for men's hoops, but this has to be up there with N.C. State over Houston in 1983. Buzzer-beaters are the kind of moments that make these games so exhilarating to watch.
A lucky 3 by unc tied the game.Thankfully UNC didn't win. Congrats to 'Nova....coaching and a lucky 3 won the game.
Did wright tell them to foul at the end?A lucky 3 by unc tied the game.
He's been in a brace all year with a bad knee, he suffers from vertigo and at times has had to almost lie on the sidelines to get that little crystal back into place, and he is old. Thats why.Did anyone see Roy's press conference... he does not look healthy. All that cheating has really taken its toll. Dude better step down now, it's only going to get worse.
I'm a believer in fouling instead of giving a guy a chance to shoot the 3. Nova ends every practice with how to play w/ 5 seconds or less. Arch is one option, then look to Booth or Jenkins. I'm still baffled as to why UNC didn't cover the inbounds passer on that last play.Did wright tell them to foul at the end?
I couldn't really tell if the guy was trying to foul or go for a steal when he just leaped and fell. Looked awkward.
If not, why do coaches not practice this, when statistics are so much on your side?
many list that as the second or third best game ever and for me it was the best. I had it recorded for MANY years until it got recorded over a decade or so ago.. no pressure on Villanova that game because McLean was high on cocaine.Disagree The 1985 Villanova - Georgetown Final game is still the best Final game I ever saw, This one was up there but that 1985 game was an underdog playing the perfect game to upset a great great team.
also the Danny Ainge full court driving layup vs nd.I'm impressed with the play they got off in 4 seconds. Sadly that was pretty much exactly the time we had left against UALR.

I'd put it behind the '87 IU game because 'Cuse got beaten.many list that as the second or third best game ever and for me it was the best. I had it recorded for MANY years until it got recorded over a decade or so ago.. no pressure on Villanova that game because McLean was high on cocaine.
My wife picked that one. Come from behind and Smart hit the winner with no time.I'd put it behind the '87 IU game because 'Cuse got beaten.
If the NCAA doesn't come down hard, it tells the entire college basketball world that cheating is worth it. Cheat, go to a FF, get a slap on the wrist, then go prepare for next year's FF.At least this winner won't have their title vacated. Might have been different if UNC had won. The players on the court for UNC benefitted from the faux classes which kept them eligible to play. When the NCAA rules, they may very well vacate all wins with these kids.
I could think of nothing that would please me more than to have this be a major punishment for the school that cheated, and the kids that went along with it. It would stop similar types of fraud at other universities (did I mouth OSU? Gee whiz!).
