AOC is on fire today. Another Purdue qb makin' some noise.
He started, and played the whole first half. NFL Network will carry the whole game later this week. Raiders announcers couldn't stop raving about him.Glad I saw this. I really hate the internet and its (mis)information. I read that the game started a 4, and the time zone wasn't mentioned, so I was waiting for the game to start. Then the next bad thing was that it mentioned elsewhere that the game wouldn't be carried locally. But lo and behold, I turned on my TV and halftime was just starting. Perhaps I'll be able to see the highlights, and at least the second half.
The question for AOC is whether he's above Hoyer on the depth chart. He's been around forever and is probably there because of his connection to McDaniels from their days in New England. Hoyer didn't play yesterday which makes me curious. If AOC can beat out Hoyer for #2 then he will see plenty of action because we know Jimmy G can't stay healthy.
Jimmy G and Hoyer got their work in during the joint practices. It was the plan to get AOC's work in during the game. The question for AOC is whether he's above Hoyer on the depth chart. Yeah he definitely looks really good. He seems to have more zip on the ball than I remember here.Oconnell playing very well through 2 preseason games. May have moved up to #2 on the depth chart after today.
