Just saw on twitter he committed to IUPUI for basketball. It didn't work out with Purdue for him but I wish him the best.
That's way too highbrow for you guys. Isn't the Hideout (I sh!t you not folks doesn't every town have a bar called the hideout) more your speed?[QUOTE="bgloveless, post: 1391747, I live in Yorktown,QUOTE]
Me too - Meet you at the Mouse

I'm fairly familiar with Yorktown and El Rancho is the old DQ. The Hideout is smokey? How is that since you can't smoke in bars in the County? I was kidding anyway the Mouse was a decent place but if I'm eating in a bar I prefer Timbers or Savages Ale House. That's awesome Day! Maybe we know each other and don't even realize it.
Heller, While you're partially right, I've never been to the Mouse, but the Hideout is way too smoky for me, but I have been, many times, to El Rancho Poblano - does that count? It's right across the street...
The Herot is still around and has expanded. The restaurant in Anderson is Greek not Egyptian. I eat at the Nile frequently.Speaking of Delaware County, I spent a couple years at BSU back in the late 90s. I really liked a bar called Heorot in downtown Muncie. Had a medieval theme and the longest tapwall I've ever seen. They used to have a promotion where if you bought one of every beer they sold (had to be at least 300), you got your name on a plaque on the bar. Had my first, and so far only, yard of Guinness at that joint.
I also used to like going to an Egyptian restaurant in Anderson called the Nile. That placed introduced me to stuffed grape leaves.
I have great memories of those places.

Actually, the old DQ building burned down. I have heard that the El Rancho Poblano owners are suspected, as they had a big dispute with the owners of the building and were moving out anyway. Now, it's in the building right next to the old DQ building (which is now their parking lot, lol)
I haven't been in Timbers since college, and I'm not even familiar with Savages. Where is that?

Nope but Sagnaki is a Greek dish as are the others. Not sure why they call it the Nile but the owner and food are definitely Greek.I think it was rumored to be the owner of the building, the woman who owns that Asian restaurant in Chesterfield. Savages is down on High Street.
Heller, are you in denial that the Nile is not in Greece?
