I had to out of the fancy beer game a long time ago. But, when I did like a super hoppy brew, I was a Gumball Head guy.
Checked Oktoberfest in Munich off the bucket list this year. Highly recommend if you’ve never been.
Go to Stuttgart instead as it's the world's second largest beer festival, the Cannstater Volksfest, and hotel rooms should be only a third of the price as for Munich's Oktoberfest as most hotel prices are increased only moderately, not doubled or tripled. The Fruehlingfest there is also Europe's largest Spring beer festival which is also Europe's largest festival. Prost!
