Here is to the regular season sweep of Michigan State!! Especially after there was a couple of Michigan State posters on here a few months ago, that basically talked about how much trouble we were have going against their prized freshman class coming in this year. Well, you never know what type of team you are going to have when you have to rely on freshman to lead you. I guess that dynasty they were predicting is not going to materialize until maybe next year.

On a side note, I do wish Harris the best. I hated to see that.

Bridges leaves after this year. They lose Harris (hope he has a speedy recovery) and Ellis. They had a very talented incoming class, but so far they have been very average outside of Bridges. They bring in JJ which will wash out the loss of Bridges. They bring in Tillman, which will help with defense and toughness. But is it enough to compete next year for Big Ten championship and a deep run? As it stands, unlikely. If Bowen goes to Arizona, MSU could be in some trouble. MSU has a tough schedule to finish out and they lost their starting senior guard.

I've thought for a while that Sparty is really our real rival. It's not the program down south or that bunch of corn heads across the river. We compete head-to-head for many of the same recruits. We are at each other's throats at the end of the season, and usually one or the other of us is near or at the top of the BIG.

They also have a couple of guys on the bench that are injured....I expect them to be a way tougher team next year. Perhaps they will even give us some competition.
