Marcellus Moore - we need to figure ways to get him the ball. On the 4th and 1, I agree with the call to go for it. Hamilton made a great play. I'm wondering what the result would have been had Moore been the sweeper.

Better OL, slot and Wright needs to be the player I know he can be
Purdue has a lot of receivers on the bench, if Wright isn’t gonna be that player expected, time to let someone else show what they can do
Until the OL starts blocking for the run game, Marcellus Moore ain't going to make a bit of a difference...
I haven't see enough of Moore to really say, but he may be more of a track guy that plays football rather than a football player that does track.
If they're not doing that in practice, there's no reason to think they'd do that in the game.
Yeah I got ya, but out that many highly rated receivers, gotta be a few guys that can come thru in clutch situations
Some players with the actual game being played step up their performance, and just never play the same in practice. That's why it was nice to see all players play last weekend, possibly someone might show more.
It'll be what it will be. There is plenty of talent in the WR room. If Brohm and the coaches decide to drop Wright down the depth chart, they'll do it. If not, he'll continue to play and and hopefully figure out have to make critical catches.
Having a faster slot receiver would help but against ND yeah you need to be able to run when they say “4-5 guys are gonna stop your run, run if you can”
Dudes afraid to return the ball on KOs. He has no business on the field for offense.
He is very cautious certainly on the occasions that he does return, and, he fumbled one yesterday as well...I can see where his speed could/should be an asset potentially offensively, but, he does not seem to ever get to speed and take advantage of it.
Garrett Miller should have blocked Hamilton on that play.

he drops gimmes like that in the pros and coaches will be like “yeah that’s enough of that shit.” And nobody is gonna be there to be like “you bastard.. can’t you see he’s doing his best?!”
Yeah, and he fought that catch all the way to the ground too. I don’t remember him having one clean catch this season. It appears to me his hand positioning on catches is wrong. That’s part of the reason he has so many go right through his hands.
Yep people think you can just throw anybody at RB position because of their track speed. They forget about vision, balance,and other stuff that make a good RB.
I disagree that just because the OL is subpar that an influx of speed on field wouldn't help.
There are plays that used to be staples of this offense even when the OL wasn't great. The jet sweep, for one. A way to manufacture some yards on the ground with your wideouts. Heck, they used to run that play with Anthrop who doesn't exactly have blazing speed. I wonder - has the blocking on the edge gotten that much worse? They ran one on 4&1 against ND, but it was Wright getting the handoff and couldn't outrun unblocked Hamilton to the line.

I liked the call to go for it, I hated the play called.
Unless you've got a serious burner getting the ball, getting the edge on a team like ND is really really tough. Might as well just try to grind out one yard off tackle or throw a bubble screen.
