A tweet early Thursday from Clay Dade, the organizer of the Fab Frosh All-American Camp that Williams-Goss attended in 2009, claimed that Williams-Goss, a sophomore last season, said he has decided to leave Washington and already has been granted his release.

Dade added that Williams-Goss has been in contact with two schools, Arkansas and UNLV.

However, a UW spokesperson told seattlepi.com that nothing regarding Williams-Goss was official, and that he was evaluating his options.

A native of Happy Valley, Oregon, Williams-Goss led the UW in scoring in 2014-15 with 15.6 points per game as a sophomore, and was second in the Pac-12 with 5.9 assists per contest. He had tested the NBA draft waters after his freshman year, when he put up 13.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists, but decided to return to Montlake for his second year.

This past season, while Williams-Goss’ individual numbers were once again good, his team struggled for consistency in what ended up being a trying season for the Huskies. After an 11-0 start, the Huskies lost star center Robert Upshaw in the middle of a January swoon before limping to a final record of 16-15.
