W.Kentucky Keady? He didn`t turn out to bad I know he never made it to the big dance but beat Bobbies ass a few times.Hire Brohm and lets start recruiting

I'd have no problem with the hire. Reality has really been setting in and we'd be lucky as hell to land him.

I'm on board. Let's get back to doing the only thing that makes Purdue kinda good! Throwing the ball!

While I wouldn't mind Brohm, would like to see another year or two of work out of him as the HC, to get a better idea of how good he really is at recruiting and maintaining the program.

he'll get better recruits w/ us, and I think he'll flip our team quicker w/ his O. We don't get the high rated O linemen that the big boys get the good ones teach them pass oriented techniques , and recruit speed at WR and RB, the QB's will come to our program.

I think what this search proves is that Purdue isn't in the place to look for highly established coaches and a coach like Brohm or Fleck is about the top level we can expect. Purdue is going to have to take a flyer and hope that the coach has some success to build on over the long haul...like Kevin Wilson at IU.

People say Purdue doesn't get the best Offensive linemen , etc etc, well think how Wisconsin was before Alvarez came to the school, he recruited well and turned them around, I see no reason why it can't be done at Purdue.

TOUCHE! Couldn't have summed it up any better.......

or a Troy Calhoun.

Barry and Wisconsin have been able to convince the Wisconsin HS Offensive and Defensive linemen and linebackers to stay home while cherry picking the best from Minnesota. If you look at their 2 deeps, the lines and backers are all from the Badger state. But, they have no other instate school to compete with. The bigger question is why Wisconsin was so bad before Barry. And they still can't recruit a top shelf QB. Russel Wilson was a 5th year senior transfer.

If Purdue was able to get the best Olinemen and Dlinemen from Indiana every year, would we be better? Perhaps. But we have to compete with ND and IU in a state with arguably fewer good linemen to begin with.
