Wahlberg will only sign non-binding scholarship papers and report to Purdue as a non-recruited player. He will then count toward 2020.

I saw where Eron Hodges retweeted a message about an Alabama freshman linebacker who was their #1 recruit last year entering the transfer portal. Don't know if that means anything.

ESPN last evening said that he was a strong MD lean. Iirc, the new coach was an Alabama Asst. so I am not sure if Purdue is really in play for this guy.

He was the highest rated defensive recruit to choose Alabama during the Saban era, believe it or not.

And I understand going somewhere with a familiar fac, but isn't Maryland's HC an offensive guy? I doubt a LB on campus for 1 season had more than 3 or 4 conversations with the guy.

You can backdate signings if you had room in a prior class. We didnt
