Video: Purdue coach Jeff Brohm after Saturday's scrimmage

You could look at this two ways.

1) The offense has been lagging the defense and now they've finally started clicking.

2) The defense isn't as solid as was thought.

I'm hopeful that it's #1, especially since we have some damn good receivers who can make big plays. However, I'm concerned that the secondary might not be making the progress it needs to be.

At this point in camp, the offense should win.

My take on this is that the Offense has taken a big step and is now running the package more to the liking of CJB. That means more of the playbook has been implemented and they have shown adjustment to the things the Defense was doing. That puts the pressure on the Defense to show the ability to adjust and they might not be into that at this point. He talks allot about the mental side of the Defense, and they are just now getting some of the high potential defenders into action. Those guys haven't caught up yet. So let's hope there are needed improvements in that area. There is still time for that to happen before the first game.
