Senior Ashley Morrissette is the first Boilermaker since Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton in 2009 to be both first-team All-Big Ten (by media and coaches) and the conference's All-Defensive Team. Only one other Boilermaker has done so (sorta) when Kelly Komara was on the first team and was the defensive player-of-the-year in 2002; there was no defensive team back then, but obviously she would have been on it.
Morissette is averaging 16.0 points, 4.6 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game, the last ranking her third in the Big Ten.
Sophomore Dominique McBryde was named honorable mention All-Big Ten by the conference coaches and freshman Ae’Rianna Harris was the Purdue representative for the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.
