22....I repeat 22 turnovers. Sometimes I just don't understand what the ladies are seeing when they make some of these passes.
This was a winnable game. A good Michigan team didn't play well after a long layoff. But 22 turnovers.....ended any chance at an upset.
If they could somehow just cut the turnovers down to respectable amount of maybe 11 or 12. That's 10 or 11 more shots at a basket. Say you score on 40% of those extra shots. That's close to 10 points and this is a winnable game. Even with getting absolutely nothing from the 4 and 5 positions. And facing a team with one of the best players in the country.
Throw in making only 7 of 16 free throws and this is even a more winnable game.
Purdue's two centers both fouled out in a combined 25 minutes of playing time. I know Naz Hillmon is good.....but jeez.....that's a foul every two minutes for the young ladies.
Two bright spots.....Madison Layden and Kayana Traylor both played pretty much the whole game and had nice games.
