Really good energy from him!Colvin doing some good things and being active......it's a start.
Is the bus 4 feet tall to make him feel big?
Furst 10 reb, 9 ptsWelp - not a work of art, but the Boilers did what they needed to do and get another solid win.
TKR - 24/10 with 2 blocks
Smith 9/3/13 with 5 steals
Loyer - 14
Cox, Harris, and Colvin all chip in with some good moments.....Furst was solid despite some ball handling problems - 9 points/10 boards.
Good team effort.....would have been interesting to face both Claude and Yates, but Yates probably doesn't get as many opportunities, then. USC has some play-makers.
Berg just looks beyond disinterested since losing his starting spot. I bet he leaves.Berg looked clutzy. Waddell looked solid. Our second 5 (Heide, Colvin, Harris, Burgess and Waddell) would beat some mid major teams.
Glad to see them get some minutes. A couple big games tomorrow!
My thoughts exactly. We were up 15-20 the whole game, but for some reason I was frustrated due to all the WIDE open misses 3s, giving up offensive rebounds, Yates doing whatever he wants, etc.. Could have easily been 30+ win.Strange game, but I'll take a 22 point lead with under 4 min left
The walk-ons are similar to Berg, can't control the ball, so just to see a shot rather than an immediate turnover was probably a positive. Waddell did handle the ball well.Colvin pulling up so quickly in the possession and jacking a three with the deep bench and walk-ons on the floor was kinda chitty.
I think Berg's demeanor tells the story. I think he definitely leaves.Berg just looks beyond disinterested since losing his starting spot. I bet he leaves.
I always wished CMP played Waddell more...the kid can clearly play.
Be best for allI think Berg's demeanor tells the story. I think he definitely leaves.
🥴🥴🥴If Cox and Harris continue as they have, there's not much room for Heide and Colvin. Heide has done better than Myles though and could be the 7th-8th guy off the bench. I sadly think Myles' ship has sailed.
Am I the only one that think him and Nate Oates are the same person?!

Compliments. He played hard and did hustle. And you're right...He shot less than 26% which shouldn't impress anyone. He missed a lot of wide-open shots, mostly threes. Go back and look at the film and notice how many times he's trailing his man on defense. But you're right...it's a start and I'm still rooting for him to become the player WE ALL on here want him to be.🥴🥴🥴
Myles sealed the game at the under ten min mark when he came in with his play tonight.
Purdue was up 14 and playing a bit lazy/letting USC creep back into it.
9:42 - Myles Colvin Defensive Rebound - One handed board might I add, from missed FT
9:18 - C.J. Cox made Three Point Jumper. Assisted by Myles Colvin.
9:00 - Myles Colvin Steal.
8:55 - Myles Colvin made Three Point Jumper. Assisted by Braden Smith.
In a matter of less than a minute, Myles had a hand in every play and helps put the game out of reach. He also played pretty good defense and had high energy with active hands all night. Finished with 8 points, 5 boards, 1 assist and 2 steals in 17 mins. I'm sure you'll complain about his shooting %, though.
Want to make sure though, that you noticed 2 times Fletch had defensive lapses where he told GiCarri to go double, only to have GiCarri's man score under the basket and Fletch not rotate over. Another time Fletch cheated over and got beat. GiCarri was beat multiple times on defense where his man scored. Heide let Yates hit a 3 in his face. Or maybe when Myles had a pass that to a wide open Furst that Furst butterfingered and it went out of bounds. Just as an fyi, I don't see issues with that, as that's part of the game and no one can play perfect. But just wanted to make sure you keep the same negative energy for other players as you do Myles.
If we can get the combined production of 17 points and 8 boards from Myles, GiCarri and Cam on a nightly basis off the bench combined with the typical production from the big 3, we will be tough to beat.
