from about 10 days ago. Only a couple of unexpected results since then, MSU and Iowa losing at home to Illinois and Minny respectively.
Without any additional surprises, I'd predict Purdue to finish 11-7 and get the #6 seed in the BTT.
The top 9 seeds:
1. Wisconsin
2. Iowa - wins tiebreaker over OSU and IU
3. IU
4. OSU
5. Maryland - wins tiebreaker over Purdue
6. Purdue
7. MSU
8. Illinois - wins tiebreaker over Michigan
9. Michigan
Breaking down the results for those teams (excepting Wisconsin) looks like this:
Purdue - 11-7 record. Wins against Nebraska, Rutgers and Illinois. Losses at IU, at OSU and at MSU
Maryland - 11-7 record. Wins against Nebraska, Michigan and at Rutgers. Losses to PSU, Wisconsin and at Nebraska
OSU - 12-6 record. Wins at Michigan, Nebraska, Purdue and at PSU. Losses at MSU and Wisconsin.
MSU - 10-8 record. Wins against OSU, Minnesota and Purdue. Losses at Michigan, at Illinois, at Wisconsin and at IU.
IU - 12-6 record. Wins against Minnesota, Purue, at Rutgers, at Northwestern and MSU. Loss at Iowa.
Michigan - 9-9 record. Wins against MSU, at Northwestern and Rutgers. Losses to OSU and at Maryland.
Iowa - 12-6 record. Wins at Northwestern, Rutgers, Illinois, at PSU, at IU and Northwestern. Loss at Nebraska.
Illinois - 9-9 record. Wins against Michigan, Northwestern and Nebraska. Losses at Wisconsin, MSU, at Iowa and at Purdue.
If everything else were the same except Purdue beats IU in Bloomington, Purdue would finish tied for 2nd place in the B10 and would win the tiebreaker over OSU and Iowa. Obviously, there is a lot riding on that game. A win over MSU instead would still allow Purdue to tie for 2nd but I believe they'd lose the tiebreaker to Iowa and be in the 3rd seed.
Obviously, there is still a lot of basketball to be played and I'm sure there will be more upsets, but thought it would be fun to at least look at a "what if".
