This is the revised list based on confirmed visits from Brian and elsewhere. It might begin to look a lot clearer by Friday when we know who will visit. For now, Brian says McDougle is out and Nixon is in. This is based primarily on who Purdue could reasonably get. Comments.
1. Williams S Juco
2. Johnson DT HS

3. Zico WR Juco
4. Palomeres OL Juco
5. Jones LB HS
6. Nixon DT HS
7. Payton WR HS
8. Harris DE HS
9. Winfield CB 5th Year
10. Pierre RB HS
11. Dillard OL 5th year
12. Yeast DB

Chuck, do you think CJB is done going after W. Ken. recruits?

Louisville is still adding guys and chasing guys at 23 guys...I wonder if Brohm thinks Yeast may be a number crunch guy.

Petrino did cut loose a good running back a few years ago

I believe I saw that DeShawn Vaughn is leaving the illini, I know we were after him before.

KeShawn Vaughn was a high priority for us before, when he was Tenn Mr Football, but Illinois may decide to block his transfer within the B1G as part of the conditions to his release.

I saw that. I remember Hazell tossing out that NJ running back's scholarship on the final weekend just so he could have one to give Vaughn. and then Vaughn was thought to be in the house and pulled a signing day surprise and signed with Illinois. That bridge was burned.

Vaughn signed with Illinois because they offered a package deal for him and his HS teammate and he took that deal. Where he transfers may be restricted as terms of his release.

I remember that package deal and the way it played out. Looking at Vaughn's recent tweets, I don't want Purdue to touch him with a 10 foot pole. His reason for leaving? Illinois wasn't good enough for him and the new coach didn't bow down low enough for his desires..

So did Williams join the team or what? Haven't really heard much since he visited. Some how I came across his twitter page and he has the train logo next to his bio ??!! Did I miss something?

My question is not when he is eligible to sign an LOI. I know the rules are different for Juco players than high school athletes. but why can't Purdue say they received a verbal commitment from him? and since nothing is in writing why can't this site and other sites list him as commitment? For other players, if the player tweets he's going somewhere, he's listed as a commitment. if he tweets he's now open, he's listed as a decommitment. in this day and age, when a tweet means everything, why is he not included as part of the site's recruiting class? Sure, he could sign elsewhere, but so could the majority of other commitments. Why is his name not included?
