Purdue got a leisurely home win Sun over OSU on national tv.
Only issue I saw was Gillis favoring his wrist. Hopefully, it's just sore. Now, Purdue gets a week to prep for IU. IU gets to travel to MSU (Tues,9pm,espn). This will be the 1st home game for MSU since the shootings. Do you think emotions will be running high? Hopefully, the MSU buzz saw will be running Tues. night. Then, IU gets to come to Mackey.

Yes Gillis used his left hand to brace his fall after getting hammered going up. Not sure if they showed a replay on TV but it was hard to see what happened from where we were sitting. Hope he’s OK.

They did show a replay.....plus he had a similar fall right before that on his left hand/wrist. He's probably mad he split the FT's.

Hmmm, I am not sure about this. Does Iowa play at home the rest of the way?

Well, that removes Maryland from possible teams that could steal the big10 title. still could tie if Purdue goes 0-3.

iu is gonna get throttled at MSU and then come in to Mackey and get completely buzz sawed. They won their Super Bowl a few weeks ago by barely squeaking out a win over the Boilers. It's time for the ass kickings to commence.
throttled by msu ? that's an offensively challenged team if I ever saw one

w/ the recruiting class he has coming in , I'm sure he'll stick around
So where is MSU projected for this year's NCAA seeding?
Do we root for them or IU tonight?
If IU loses it pretty much wraps up a title for PU.
They could beat us at home so another loss by them would make me feel better as NW is going to lose at least 2 more games.
If MSU loses will they make the Tourney?

Think MSU is a safe in as a 7/8 seed now. Would have to have an epic collapse here on out to not get in.

IU loses doesn’t guarantee us the title but does eliminate them, I believe.

I think Indiana will handle MSU on the road setting up a big game in Mackey this weekend. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think I'd rather see Indiana win tonight, anyway. Northwestern will play three of their next four on the road. They've been solid all year, but I can't see them getting out of that stretch unscathed. Iowa has a manageable remaining schedule, but the Hawkeyes continue to have a casual relationship with defense. They've held only 5 B1G opponents under 70--and only 1 of the last 7. Fran's blood pressure is in for a wild ride.

After Indiana, Purdue has an interesting road game at Wisconsin--never an easy place to win. Bracket matrix still has Wisconsin clinging to an 11 seed, but the Badgers have zero cushion (#76 NET) and will throw everything at Purdue to get a top-5 win. The home finale against Illinois will also be interesting. Who knows what to expect out of the Illini.

Should be an exciting last two weeks of the regular season.

Is that a serious question? Of course you cheer against iu. If iu were playing ISIS, you cheer for ISIS.

Nailed it….
Coming into a pissed off Mackey, hanging your head and playing a Purdue team seeking revenge is not going to be pretty for iu.

like to see msu win don't think they will but I'll be watching the Marquette at Creighton game anyway
Marquette really came through last night---as they've done all year. Marquette now has a 1.5 game lead in a crowded Big East.

On a related note... In retrospect, the B1G really got the short end the stick in the Gavitt Games. The bottom 5 of the Big East all participated but only 2 of the top 5. At least the B1G beat the only two participating Big East teams that are currently ranked.

Walker was huge last night, some Frosh backup center played big for them as well. IU is a two player team, Purdue should throttle them by 10 or so on Saturday

I noticed that TJD missed several bunnies. Maybe he is tired as some are suggesting. Jaxon Kohler is the backup center you reference. Had a stellar game on D and actually made a couple baskets too.

Walker took the game over with his 3-point shooting late in the first half and then it got contagious.

Marquette played extremely good D last night esp in the 2nd half, everytime Creighton would pass the ball around the shooter would be open for a split second but a Marquette player would close just in time. Their undersize Center played well, as well as Davis and his funky looking shot, and their lefty point guard w/ the glued hair.
