In the long run, I think an MSU win will do more to help Purdue's resume, particularly if Purdue can beat MSU at Mackey. Even though it's at home, the MSU game is a great opportunity to make a huge statement.
If it's like the Louisville game he will be dropping F bombs on the first foul call.
Also, Florida is definitely a talented team, but they were a bit raw when we played. I think Florida will get better as the season goes on and be a pretty good team in the SEC. That being said, MSU definitely helps us out more. But at the end of the day, it probably won't make much of a difference in terms of "help" no matter who wins.
I will gladly take any 'resume' hits we would have to suffer for a Florida win.
I'm rooting for Florida. If Florida wins this game, they will have a good win for tourney consideration and might even creep back into the rankings. MSU is pretty much a lock for the tourney at this point, so a loss by them might push them down to the lower edge of the top 10, but they will likely still be top 10 by the time we face them.
Definitive lock, no. You are right. But if I had to put $50 on the table right now as to whether they make it or not, I know where I'm placing my bet.
I'm with you. MSU not making the tournament would be a monumental collapse that isn't happening.
