Always need the TV thread right?

Just FYI because I noticed on at least directv and uverse, this game is only listed on the alternate/overflow channel, even in Indiana.
Thought that was strange
Had a hard time finding it initially, so hope that helps

I think BTN is a national channel much like ESPN and thus doesn't flex programming by market like a CBS does for NFL games. As such, I don't think the fact that you're watching a local team on your feed of BTN makes any difference as to whether it's on the main BTN or one of the overflows.

And if you have the BTN, you have access to the alternate channels too.

I'm not 100% sure that's true. In New England we had the Cincy game listed as the primary option but my local provider bumped us to the alternate for the (I think) Maryland game. I'm not sure why else that would happen unless regionally providers can change which game is primary. FWIW - I have TWC.

I thought they used to show in market games on the primary channel, maybe I'm wrong.
I had to manually search and add the alt because I've never really utilized it before

Hmm, good to know. Thanks for the heads up. I have Uverse and have encountered multiple games on the alternate stations, which is why I thought it worked similar to ESPN. I thought this was dictated by the station, but I wonder now if their is flexibility potentially afforded to the individual cable providers as well. With the way things are going in football, I'm just glad its on television at all!

I didn't think Uverse moved in-market games to the main channel. I am in Noblesville and the game is on 1691 according to the guide. I am opting for a trip to Cincy to watch the Cubs and hopefully watch a Purdue victory on DVR. Not sure the last time both the Cubs and Purdue won on the same day.

I believe it was 1938.
