Trio carries Indiana juniors to win (link)

I have seen a couple of these kids play, and they are very good. I think we might be seeing a resurgence of Purdue womens basketball. Very happy these kids are going to be Boilermakers.

I don't follow these junior/senior contests very closely, but I don't think that the juniors win very often. I was there when the juniors, led by Brittany Rayburn and Alex Guyton beat the seniors. They each wound up being pretty good Boilermakers, despite dealing with troubling injuries and having less help around them than I think this trio will have. Like you, I am very happy that these kids are going to be Boilermakers. The 2015 class is definitely looking like Coach Versyp's best class to date and one that should help make our Boilermakers one of the top teams in the conference and the country during their time wearing the old gold and black. At this point, we can hope for good health for them and their teammates and look forward to some good Women's Basketball at Purdue.

The 2015 class looks exceptional. Anyone know the scoop on Abby Abel from Carmel? She will be a walk-on in 2015. Originally we only had 3 openings for that class but it has changed now. Maybe she just wants a Purdue education.

I don't know that much about her--but found this online--

If you scroll down a little way, you will see picture of her with SV, and a blurb about how she is coming to Purdue. Some of her stats that I saw looked decent--I think she is a good PG, but not an elite PG, at least at this stage in her development. But she wants to be at Purdue, and that's worth a lot! Maybe she will end up being much better than predicted...?

That's neat. In football that preferred status normally means they can play into a scholarship when one is available. Some of those kids come from families that can afford the schooling. I give her a thumbs up for living the dream. I would do it.

I have watched Tiara Murphy play a couple times in AAU games. I came away very impressed. She is highly competative and doesn't back down to anyone. She seems to play larger and faster than her true physical size. I don't know if that is really possible, but that was the impression I came away with.

She seemed to be a combination of Ukari FIggs and COurtney Moses, in this slight frail frame. Stick the knife in. Are you dead yet? Stick it in again and twist. Just for good measure, here is another dagger. Tough game face, but smiling when she came back to the bench. I think she will quickly become a crowd favorite.
