Why do you say that? I thought he was one of a few osu guys that gave a dang and actually went after it. Liked rebounding and blocks....and seemed very physical in the middle.
I had heard that rumor too...... But didn't believe it since he had a LOI...Plus his Twitter page pretry Louisville centric.
However, there is an unsubstantiated rumor of the school getting penalized though......did not believe that one either as NCAA never penalizes anyone that is potential E8/FF type cash cow school.
Thompson is a complete bust when it comes to being a five star player. However for a 1 year back up he will be great.
I'm late to the party here. So, I saw the blurb (however long ago that was: maybe a week or so ago?) about Trevor Thompson entering the NBA Draft: did he renege on that decision? If he never hired an agent, then adding him would be a plausible possibility (grad transfer). I remember Painter recruiting him in 2014 when he left Virginia Tech after one season.

Trevor Thompson was never listed as a 5-star player out of high school. He was a 3-star player in most scouts/pundits' opinions.

I'm hearing through a guy who is my brother's wife's cousin twice removed from marriage although technically considered a distant cousin but a really good Purdue fan and follower, that Biggie is considering the NBA as a career path from tests taking at campus this past Spring. Any truth to this?
If I read the information correctly, Purdue would be his third school. Am I correct? Maybe there is something about the kid that Painter does not want in the mix of his team. I don't know anything about the kid, and I don't want to cast aspersions at him, but maybe he would not be a good fit based on Painter's impression of his personality or playing style.
