I thought about it, but I am just not sure if he is more important to the team than those guys.I would put Markell Jones in there somewhere
I was thinking about it today and if you asked me to name the top 5 players on this team I'm not sure I could do it.
Not good.
I thought I heard during the telecast of the last game that he has a younger brother that plays football. Did I hear that right? What year is he in? Is he good enough to play D1?I forgot about Danny Anthrop , wish Purdue had a whole team of guys like him
Perhaps a local can weigh in on this, but IIRC it appeared that Hope threw local fans a bone by offering Anthrop a scholarship as he was a small school RB who was not viewed to be a candidate for Big Ten play. The youngest Anthrop is a senior and the word I have heard is that although Shoop wants him to be offered a scholarship, Hazell won't give the go ahead on it.
There is also a big time diamond in the rough at CC as well who projects as a DE and although the DC wants him, Hazell won't give the go ahead on an offer even though he has other P5 offers right now.
And, how many of our top players could start for TOSU, MSU, UoM, or Utah?Robert Kugler, Jake Replogle, Frankie Williams, Jawhuan Bentley, Anthony Brown...
That was pretty easy for me, might even throw in Deangelo Yancey over Brown if you want more offense
You just MADE my point.Robert Kugler, Jake Replogle, Frankie Williams, Jawhuan Bentley, Anthony Brown...

Jackson has good athleticism but not the true breakaway speed that Danny has. Danny is a 4.30 guy whereas Jackson is probably, at best 4.50.
Kugler and Bentley. The others would be second string. Those two will play on Sunday. And, how many of our top players could start for TOSU, MSU, UoM, or Utah?
Replogle? He seems to be having a good yearKugler and Bentley. The others would be second string. Those two will play on Sunday.
Hazell said on his show a couple weeks back that brown and Williams get the most attention from NFL scouts, though he apparently didn't think they were capable of covering BGs receivers man to man.Robert Kugler, Jake Replogle, Frankie Williams, Jawhuan Bentley, Anthony Brown...

Interesting question in that it is indeed difficult to pull 5 out of the mass of mediocre players. It would have been easier in 2000, 1980, 1967, etc. or even five years ago. I question if there is anyone on the current roster with NFL potential???I was thinking about it today and if you asked me to name the top 5 players on this team I'm not sure I could do it.
