admittedly I'm biased, but I honestly think the Purdue job is attractive.
1) in the b10. The best conference over the past 3years and traditionally as well. Stable as opposed to b12.
2) in the b10 west, so you have to go through Wisconsin and Nebraska. Not easy, but nowhere near as daunting as Michigan, osu, and psu.
3) expectations are not high. You win 9 games a year at lsu, Texas, Michigan, Nebraska...you're fired. You win 8 games a year here, you're a legend.
4) kind of piggybacks on the last point, but the cubs were able to sell players on how winning a championship in Chicago means a lot more than, say, St. Louis. Same thing with Purdue and the rose bowl.
