Today’s Joey Brackets. Take this right now!

I live in Jax also...this past month has been one of my best sports months EVER!

Unfortunately we left the restaurant on Sunday as soon as the Saints kicked the "game winning" field goal and I was telling my wife how awesome this sports season has been. Then I get home and find out the Saints lost...but the Jags won so I'm not too bummed.

Living in Northern Nassau County. This has been the single worst sports month ever. 32 NFL teams and the Jags are the one I cannot stand the most.

Cant believe I am pulling for NE. Go Brady!!!

Bronco16 is right on target in my opinion. Last year, when we got a bit behind against Kansas, we fell into the trap of playing "hero ball". Swanigan tried to bring the team back by putting it on his shoulders, so he was taking the majority of shots. That was obvious to the Kansas team who zero'd in on defending him. With each round of hero-ball we would fall another 2 points behind.

We don't play that sort of ball this year, although Carson Edwards might think he has that responsibility to try it sometimes. I would expect us to run better sets and get baskets even in a dry spell much better than we did last year. That might be enough improved play to get us past this year's Kansas team. It would still be a hell of a game I'd watch!
I have a giant fan crush on Carsen Edwards. He is the exact type of guard that has thrived at KU under Self. He will win Big Ten player of the year and be a first team all American by the time he leaves Purdue. Absolutely no fear

Well let me put your mind to ease, Frank Mason and Josh Jackson wont be running out of that tunnel. Devonte Graham is still a great player and if we are hitting shots we can be a handful but this team is completely different.

This is exactly what lingers in Purdue fans' mind. However, it just seems that every Kansas team always has good guard play that can run offense, but also break you down off the dribble - which has been a weakness for Purdue historically, but less of a weakness this year. In fact, even though we've seen defensive improvement from PJ and Mathias, I think last year's KU team would beat this year's Purdue team ... it seems so much action was created off of Mason breaking us down off the dribble to get to the hole or dish/create for others. We'd be in defensive rotations almost immediately.

Graham is really good, but he alone isn't better than Mason and Graham of last year.

Even the year we beat you guys in 1994, you had Vaughn and Woodberry ... 2 really good guards. Took a monster game from Big Dog and lights out shooting from Zo to win that game.

That being said, I like Purdue against KU this year, but definitely don't want to play you in Omaha.
