Totally understand, My cousins grew up in Savoy as my Uncle taught at the U if I. Every Thanksgiving it was always great to show up with Braggin’ Rights.
I still have my Chief Illiniwek hooded sweatshirt though they gave me one year.

I’m with you.. I didn’t grow up around a single Indiana fan so it’s hard for me to get all mad for that game. But I grew up with a million delusional Notre dame idiots and about 12 Illinois fans whose combined delusions may exceed all the Notre dame fans I’ve ever met..

You ever talk to an Illinois homer and start off thinking “wow, does this guy think he went to Minnesota or Michigan state?” If so, give it like 4 minutes. You’ll get a glazed over look in your eyes and begin thinking “wait, this guy thinks he went to Michigan.”

it kinda reminds me of when tiller got all those high star players .. with them and zook. But it would be like if I was still sitting here now like “just need to get a couple more classes in here and we will take our rightful place.”
