What a year he is having. Who seen him joining Fletch and Braden in the 1000-point club this year? At 19.6 points per game, he is tied for second place in the B1G Nick Martinelli barley ahead at 19.9 points per game. He is currently tied for 23rd in all of division one. Most improved player seems like a no brainer last year 6.4 points per 249 total this year 567 with at least 4 games to play. First team All B1G is a done deal. Painter has been singing his praises for years. I personally didn't see this coming no matter how many times I read it was coming. He needs 25 points vs Rutgers to reach the milestone at home. IMO Braden will win B1G player of the year without TKR's monster year IDK. Is he an NBA player? clearly, he is. I have seen him listed mid 2nd round in a few mock drafts. His age will work against him he turns 23 this year. For him to come back next year will be risky but, Zach did it. In case he doesn't come back what an investment he has made in his future. You have to love his story.

You mentioned Nick Martinelli......be a nice piece for Purdue next year, if he goes the portal route.

TKR has wildly over performed this year. Might be 2nd or 3rd team AA?? That is really something considering he wasn't on any all B10 teams last year. MEGA jump.

I love TKR. He has defensive limitations as a small ball 5, but the guy has such a great feel in the low post and plays so hard.

What would really help Purdue is if they had a 7 foot defensive 5 that could stretch the floor on offense and allow TKR to post up other 4s. Hmmm.....

What’s the risk for Trey in coming back?

I just seen where after last night he now leads the B1G at 20.3 points. To Northsides question my concern would be the whole he's too old thing. It will be a tough decision either way.

He's 50/64 (78.1%) in his last 11 games (Oregon) with four games without a miss (no attempts @ Michigan :( ).

That clip is really promising for the stretch run.
I think Ant Wright talked about his form and said when he misses, he is leaning/falling back. When he stays up and down, he is fine.

Will need him being in that +70% range come tourney time

As did I many game threads ago.

Check the Tower Logs...... :)

He's the most offensively effective below the rim player I can remember. I'm struggling to even come up with a historical comparison. Probably some Wisconsin player...
I looked up Trevion’s stats when you posted this and was shocked at how much lower of a percentage than Trey he shot. Thinking back, I think his touch around the basket was just as good but he tended to settle for tough shots more often. Trey puts in the work and has the footwork to get a good look nearly every time.

Trevion was a different level of player. Bigger, more vertical, quick twitch with handles and crafty passing, particularly as an upper classman. TKR is not trying to play tricks. Everyone knows what is coming, they just can't stop it.
Big10 refs on display as part of my documentary.

You picked what is far and away the most athletic play of Trevion‘s career. Great play, everyone was blown away because they didn’t think he had that in him.

I loved TW and if he had had half of Trey’s discipline he would have been a first team AA, but it would be intellectually dishonest to pretend that he was not a below the rim player.

Big Cat definitely had some innate skills you can't teach....

He was crazy good, but you're correct his options could also get him in trouble. I think it's easy to forget how good that team was because of the tourney stumbles, but they were super tough.

The BiG E played against Lew AlCinder. They played against each other in the game of the century. He may have won. However, they had a rematch in the final 4 and Lew and UCLA blew him away. The Big E put up a lot of awesome stats. However, many thought he was a very selfish player

The way I see it is that he is a second round pick either way. With NIL, I don’t see a reason to rush it.

I have 0 clue who that is but I’ll agree….

Sorry if I missed it. Been trying to spend less time on here. Only for my own mental health
He was good. He and Alcindor playing against each other put on some shows. Us old codgers remember him, but he played before you were born I'm sure. When you are old, you have a lot more history behind you than your future holds. ;)

I think the settling was mostly due to running up against a physical player who made it harder to back down.
