Thought we'd at least be hearing rumors by now

That CRW would be getting fired by reputable sources.

I guess it doesn't matter if CRW coaches the bucket game or not although I'm not sure why the love affair with Card. Unless Card has an outer body experience, I dont see him leading us to enough points to stay up with Indiana.

Watching CRW cry at his post game presser was hard to watch on so many levels...
At some point Bobo and Brit have to show some sincere compassion and get him out of the head coaching role......

He’s staying. At least through the end of the season. Four of his losses were to top 5 teams.

So stop your dreaming and complaining and chants of fire walters!

We have heard rumors. Just not the ones people here want to hear.
Not just rumors but validated by bobinski when he was asked if it was true all he would say is he didn’t tell it direct to the source and then went on to defend Walters so I’m essence validating the rumor. Fridays game wasn’t horrible so I didn’t think it would happen. Besides the rumor from MSU was vague. Hope was fired the Sunday before the iu game…

He cried? Lol
Did he seriously cry? There’s no way that happened. I’m not interested in listening to him tbh so I don’t ever watch his pressers. I see clips and he’s just always leaning forward, almost wanting to hide his face, depressed, but he couldn’t have actually cried. Lol

I'm not sure if Bobinski would admit it if he had made the decision to make a move at year end.

As for the MSU rumor, I have no idea why a MSU source would be in a position to know such a thing. Never made sense to me.

If they don't fire him this weekend, then it's probably not happening. Unless they are going to wait and once again have to rush a replacement like last time.

Mabey because they have normal expectations

I hope not. Would be embarrassing. Not quite as embarrassing as going 1-11…but embarrassing enough.

I mean, this guy has looked out of it since his introductory press conference. He’s not well spoken. He’s not humble. He’s clearly not that self aware either.

The whole thing is odd and disconnected to me. If we don’t fire him it’s truly a program asleep at the wheel that can’t care. Ross ade will look like it does in the 3rd and 4th quarter at kick off next year. Sad it’s taken 2 years at this level of incompetence to derail some pretty significant time and money investments to get support behind Purdue football finally.

I only saw the first few mins of the presser. CRW was emotional. Paraphradubg, be he said it was because his guys didn't quit . Obviously the losses have taken a toll on CRW.

I honestly feel CRW thinks that he has the players he can win with but is frustrated that he hasn’t been able to find the answers to help them win more games....
He is obviously suffering from his lack of head coaching experience.

The fact that Bobinski hasn’t even made a peep is unreal…
It was reported that Bobo failed to attend CRW's post game presser, which is not normal......

And let's be fair, he was sorta put in to a no-win (pun intended) situation. Zero head coaching experience .. zero experience rebuilding a program... tough schedules... and really doesn't know how to develop players.

It was a risk that just didn't pay off... and if something isn't done, next season could be the final nail in the coffin for the program as the fans will just not show up/watch/stop caring.

The infrastructure does not exist in this program to support, develop and get the most out of its players.

It used to. At this point it’s not fair to the players to keep him around. Can’t expect a guy who can’t lead to be the leader of men.
He’s tried. He’s failed. Time to move on.

Early signing date is Dec 4th. Not much time unless they are telling recruits who's gonna coach.
To give you some hope, IU fired Allen last year the morning after the Purdue game and had a new HC hired before early signing date and the open transfer portal. Whereas Washington got caught by DeBoar's departure after the transfer portal winter window and paid for it.

And when that happens, two are to blame.
The one that offers the invitation, and the one that accepts it....

In addition, the infrastructure and the schedule isn't conducive to hiring a head football coach with no prior experience........

Unless the ad is waiting for donors to offer a buy out but this is bobos mess not ours he hired him. With btn money coming in surely a spread sheet is available to show board of trustees swift action is needed.

I dearly hope that is what Bobinski is doing right now. It makes no sense to fire Walters before the season ends. Our best outcome is that our AD has a top replacement ready to hit the ground running on Dec 1st.

Also, I'm glad Bobinski has made no public comment. What's he supposed to say? "I support Coach Walters."?

You know this is a good point. If he made any other comments right now other than "we've parted ways with CRW" it likely would look like he is supporting him staying and that would be.. bad.
