Effectively this is our S16 game, or even elite 8 given the short turnaround.
I have infamously said that the S16 is our ceiling because we are sure to face a team that has swarming D and big physical guards that will choke off the 3 and deny the post, and force turnovers. I was hoping we wouldn't face a a big level boss like Beard this early in the game, but here we are, the simulation is playing for keeps.
So this game is the test. IMO its really going to come down to hitting tough shots. We will not get a lot of clean looks unless Painter can pull a rabbit out of his hat coaching wise...defensively, we are going to have problems too.
Hopefully we can just gut this one out and hit our FTs, since points may be hard to cone by.
I guess tomorrow my theory will get stood up, hopefully I am wrong and everyone here can get their laughs at my expense
