Man its a treat to watch Duke and Flagg play. Bunch of high motor high basketball IQ guys. Taking Houston apart right now. Would have loved to see this Duke team match up with the Uconn team from last year.
Man Duke felt that game pressure and wilted. Full credit to Houston never stopping playing. Duke was the better team all game until they got tight around the 9 min mark remaining
You could argue that Mason's technical foul started to turn the tide. They were up 11 at the time. A FT and a basket off of the rebound made it 8 and gave Houston a bit of life. It was certainly an accidental thing, but still.
This was about an old team vs a young team, as I saw it. (Next year, Purdue should have one of the more experienced teams in college basketball).

Now if CMP wants an uber athletic guard like Wesley Yates of USC who is available.....to play the 3 I am ALL for that dude.
Yes now that Purdue lost 2 of these bigger wings......I will agree with an athletic 6-5 to 6-7 guy that can both shoot & is physical and in addition....can take it to the hoop would be great tool for the coach.

We took Houston apart more than Duke down the stretch, your post did not age well.
What did he do? I missed first half and then went to be when Duke was pulling away in 2nd half.
Glad Duke lost, but was hoping Mason had a good game.
He was always a warrior during the conference season and then seemed to fizzle in March...
Was blocking out on either a shot or a free throw and elbowed the Houston player (Tugler maybe) in the face. Completely accidental but definitely the right call. It was a T instead of a flagrant because the shot had gone in so it was a dead ball.
to the throat. unintentional for sure. WAS a turning point in the game unfortunately.
