Purdue and Painter were fortunate this year to have one of the big tens weakest schedules. They played IU twice when they were short handed. They beat Iowa with their best player on the bench hurt for 35 min .They beat Ohio State without the Big Tens highest three point percentage player who was suspended just before that game. If the second Illinois game and the tournament Penn State game were each a minute or so longer Purdue would have lost its last four Big Ten games .Not including Wisconsin. As for Bryson Scott , I noticed when he came into the Minn. away game he immediately drove into the middle of the lane and had a wide open shot five foot from the basket and passed it up to try to feed A.J. . The pass was unexpected and was a turnover. Never would Bryson ever pass up that shot. Thats when i could see that Painter was in his head and his confidence was lost. The very short leash he was and is on made him tenitive and that is not how you want Bryson . Most Purdue players are allowed to play through their mistakes. He could be very impactful to this program.
