Wasn't convinced last week to be quite honest. I thought Louisville made a lot of mistakes that kept us in the game. After this game, I am a believer of Brohm and his coaching ability. Feels a lot like Tiller when he took over. Brohm will coach Blough up (if not already apparent). I'm actually looking forward to Saturdays again. Play calling, defensive schemes all very apparent.

Hazell had some talented players. But he made zero half time adjustments, and our talented players made a lot of crucial mistakes in critical times, and our depth was poor forcing our players to be worn out in the 4th quarter, And lose.
I've always said I thought we had talent at the skill positions but nothing on the lines last year. I'm really impressed how improved our line play is on both sides of the ball.

Yes, the majority of these are DH players, but Brohm also got rid of a bunch of kids who were dead weight and brought in a bunch of JC transfers and 5th year transfers to help mold the team in his image.
Just can't say enough about Brohm at this point. Far exceeded my expectations. I hope he continues to do so this season!

hazell's talent played without fundamentals. We saw last night what good coaching can do, and what 0 turnovers will produce.
the biggest difference this year has been the evaluation of talent before recruiting. Before brohm signed anybody, or released anybody, he evaluated our talent at each position. And he went the juco and transfer route to fill the glaring holes. it's amazing what having a quality offensive ad defensive line can do.
Winning increases recruiting and vice versa. I doubt we receive any commitments this weekend. But I bet we back doored into a couple of recruit's top 5. As recruiting goes, we don't have a lot of scholarships left to offer. I'm unsure if brohm will go after more jucos or transfers with his remaining scholarships.
My season prediction of 4+2 possible wins looks good.

Exactly, if they are still here they bought into winning and what it takes to win. Brohm has made them different players in a very short time. They are his now.
I agree. My only point was these were players Hazell recruited and couldn't win with. Kind of the point Urban Meyer made when he called Tom Herman insane for blaming his players after Texas lost to Maryland.

Lots of Brohm recruits on this team. 3 OL are transfers or JUCOs. Same with Wright and Zico at WR. McCollum and Okonye are difference makers on D too.

Your attempts to "correct" my grammar is equally incorrect as your statement that my logic is flawed. If you were able to comprehend the original point, which is a MAJORITY of these players were the same guys Hazell's guys and he couldn't win with them. Yes Brohm brought in a bunch of transfers but the underlying point (which you clearly are missing), is that we have significantly upgraded our coaching and the results are extraordinary (albeit over just two games). Why that deserves bashing is beyond me.

Hazell is a poo poo coach. But this team has 6 transfers starting, a few JUCO starting, and a lot of juniors and seniors. This lineup is a lot better than last year.
