Theoretical look at seeds

The best thing about being a fan is we get to hash out all these hypotheticals.

It looks like most prognosticators have Purdue slotted at an 11 seed. I love this, as it lets Purdue avoid a 1/2 seed for a couple rounds.

Who would you most like to play of the most likely 6 seeds - Butler, Providence, UNI, Wichita, Georgetown, SMU

Who would you most like to play of the most likely 3 seeds - Oklahoma, Iowa State, Utah, ND, Baylor, Louisville

Who would you most like to play of the most likely 2 seeds - Arizona, Kansas, Wisconsin, Gonzaga


I would absolutely love a path through SMU, Iowa State, Gonzaga

I can honestly see Purdue making the E8 in that bracket.

I think the worst draw would be Butler, Utah, Arizona.

I adore the city, but I HATE U of L sports, their fans, their HYBRID ACC Conference, their raping/sodomizing players, their abortioning/adulterizing coaches, their greasy AD, etc etc.

I think we can beat louisville, and I'd love to shove their faces in it down here.

I'd like to play Louisville.

During the Baby Boilers year, Purdue played L'ville in Indy. They brought a lot of fans and were really loud. But it was shocking how trashy they were. Maybe I've been spoiled by always going to other B10 venues, as generally those are very strong schools and have pretty good fans (never been to IU). But it's really hard to exaggerate how trashy UL's fans were.

I live in Louisville as well, and Purdue would beat them this year. I also went to that UofL Purdue game, believe Hummel was a Freshman that year. Lots of open seats as there was a bad snow storm going on. I think Iowa state would be a bad matchup for us, but wouldn't flinch at any of those other teams.
Dayton mAde the elite 8 last year as an 11 seed and this team is leaps and bounds better. I guess we'll see, it's all about matchups and getting a few breaks

Louisville is more like a pro sports team - it's not that great of a school and it had a reputation as more of a commuter school than traditional school until more recent years (and still is borderline). A lot of people are big Louisville fans from growing up there, not because of a traditional college education experience.

Clean, da' Ville has two great things going or it. The H & B museum and Commonwealth Motorsports. As for playing Slick and Company, I think their guards are very good, and their defense is great. I think the Cards would be a very tough out.

As far as who to play, I'm thinking about revenge...

I'd like to see us get another chance to take down ND. B1G DPOTY Davis vs. Grant. Davis hold him to 9, his first single digit performance since ???

I think we lost to Butler last time we played them right? Well, we need to correct that.

And then there's Kansas and that victory they stole the last time we were in the tourney with Robbie. I want to see Bill Self without that damn smile on his face. I could go back and replay UK beating them badly early in the season, but I would rather we sent them home in the dance.

Is all that too much to ask?

I live in Louisville too, Cleanface. You ABSOLUTELY nailed it.

Of those teams, I do not want to play Iowa state. That's a bad matchup. Nd beat us soundly but we've improved and they underperform in the tourney so Id be ok with that matchup. Obviously any of the 2 seeds would be difficult but I'd take kansas or Gonzaga over Arizona or Wisconsin.
