Why do I feel like Purdue was so good at making the simple play and then the O got more and more complicated and easy buckets got harder and harder to get as season went on? Not a Painter bashing thread, but are his X’s and O’s and commitment to plays forcing things and lots of turnovers as a result?
With Ivey ability to drive and finish at the rim, why could he not get more very simple drive and dishes to a wing for an open 3? Like you don’t even need much more action than to pass when D collapses. Paint needs to simplify, just a bit, without losing the motion/movement.
