We now have our 8th known commitment. Welcome aboard Mr. Miller!

It would be great to see some DTs and DEs committing soon. I would like for us to have bookends again and reestablish the Den of DEs. We need some additional WRs to catch those 40 to 50 yards bombs from our QBs.

How many scholarships do we have available this year without anyone leaving or quitting?

Who do feel is next to commit?

At this rate of commitments, we might have this class pretty much completed before the season starts!

I would love Rondale Moore, WR from Louisville I think, one of these boards said he was visiting Texas, ouch, hopefully it's too dang hot down there and they feed him hot and spicy Chili on a 98 degree day. lol
We need speed and he has it!

I know you have to start somewhere but when will brohm get recruits that other decent p5 schools are after also.

Agree. It's ridiculous he's not stealing recruits from Saban, Harbaugh, and Urban yet.

I'm hoping Chase Kline. Looks like a good ILB prospect to me.

I'm surprised he doesn't have bigger offers. I saw he recently visited MSU but not sure they offered him.

EDIT: just saw that he did get offered by MSU and has picked up a couple crystal ball picks for MSU on 247.

Reportedly he will probably get more big offers soon.

Just need something at LB next year with Bailey since the other three starters will be gone. Can sell early PT

Seems to me the coaching staff has targeted guys it wants for the schemes they want to run. Case in point, Perkins fits the mold of what the defensive coaches want in a DB. Big guy with exceptional length and what appeared to be a growing number of suitors from major programs.

Best example I can think of is that Brohm may end up being a bit of a similarity to CMP in terms of recruiting. Painter is able to identify players from an early point of who will be very good players. He isn't always able to reel them in but he is able to identify talent when he sees it and many times he is the first major offer those players get. If that's the case, Brohm will win more those recruiting battles because there are more fish in college football and the margin for error isn't quite as small.

If we can get a 4 star guy in this class somehow, I will be majorly impressed with Brohm's ability to turn this ship around quickly. I'm not going to take the time and look up who the last one was, but if seems like it has been a while since we got a highly regarded recruit like that.

With that said, I'm very optimistic about this upcoming season, now that the Haze is off evaluating film on his own time.

You've got to like the balance that this class has already. The staff has addressed the majority of areas of concern, outside of the defensive line. We know we'll likely end up with a near full 25 man class, so we are only about 1/3 of the way there, so we have plenty of room for additions. I'd imagine we will take 2-3 more LB's, 2 DE, 2 DT just to begin. I'd also imagine we see a couple more WRs, at least one RB and probably more OL. As others have said, it is clear the staff is prioritizing guys they feel fit their scheme, which is highly important. I do love the tall, rangy type of DB. I think that will help us match up well with big receivers in the B1G.

Last 4 star was Gelen Robinson I think.

Many of these guys will be developmental since there aren't going to be high expectations the first two years. I trust this staff with evaluations much more than the previous group, though.

I am not sure how many scholarships we have available for this year, but we have never seen a run like this before the start of a season. Recruits are seeing that they need to commit or we might not have a scholarship available for them later on. Let's keep the momentum going!

Numbers wise there will be 20 spots....but we all know that more will open so you will probably see a full 25/28 on NSD
