This is a thread on TheHoosier.com.

The stat is Allen is 3 - 29 against teams that have finished above .500.

I kid you not, a poster asks, "Is there any way to take out losses to IU that put our opponents at or below .500? How does that change things, if at all?."

We need to quit slamming this guy. He's like Tom Crean. They love him and he sucks, we need to talk him up. LEO foreva-eva!

I just read their excuses and its laughable. Not surprised that trailer park fan base is delusional and high on meth.

Who are the 3? Wisconsin last year was the first I was aware of. Is this counting non-P5 teams as well?

Why would you guys ever be critical of tom Allen or Scott frost. Please please please whenever you talk to fans from either school, even if they are 0-12, just with a straight face can you be like “yeah I know the huskers were 3-9 but we think Scott frost is underrated. We secretly fear him!”

Virginia accounts for 2 of those 3. Maybe the Virginia players are confused by the Indinia jerseys?

Couldn’t be Virginia. Allen had never beaten a P5 team that finished with a winning record until Wisconsin last year

I hope they keep Allen forever and please for the love of god that deboer never comes back to be their head coach

Maybe they can call some of their boosters and get the money to hire Nick Saban away from Alabama. Or maybe Belichick.
They should have taken both of those guys when they were wanting the job.

FWIW, I don’t know if either of them ever wanted the IU job, but that seems to be the standard line of thinking over on their board…”we should have taken (insert currently successful coach’s name) when we had the chance.”

Jeff Brohm is still kicking himself for not taking the job there...

That's all true, but it is also true that IU is still better now than they have been in quite a while (they have a defense with a pulse). I don't think they're as bad as they've looked this year (their division is murderous), and they weren't as good as they looked last year (weird coronavirus season). I hope the Boilers take them seriously - I want the bucket back in West Lafayette, where it belongs.

ETA: I just glanced at their forum for the first time since before the season started. The difference in the mood there is staggering. 😲

Yeah if we give them a dirt stomping and do well in a bowl game they won't be back here during the off-season.

I’m sure the excuse machine is operating around the clock for the Reverend Coach Leo and Indinia fans:

“We have to play good teams! It’s just not fair!”
”We‘re the only team with injuries. It’s not fair,”
”We were ranked at the beginning of the year, so we’re good”
”We’re still in first place with LEO. The RevCoach says if we just donate a little more, we’ll be the best team every next Spring.”
”Purdue is always our bowl game anyway, so let’s go bowling!”
”This is Gary Barta’s fault. Let’s harass him, email him, threaten him like we did last December.”

I‘m sure their usual 2,500 will show at RA in a few weeks, fresh off their Black Friday stampede for substandard televisions and unsold Halloween candy. Epic.

The great thing about college football is with the exception of a few elite teams, things can change from season to season. Purdue sucked then became damn good. IU was good then sucked. Will IU suck again in 2022 and will Purdue continue their success? Which season is the "rubber" season?

FWIW - I am terribly concerned about IU's football program, and I wish Purdue all the "ill will" I can muster.

Respectfully of course.

A reasonable and honest IU fan couldn't be anything but concerned with the football program. You appear to be both.

Not much different from reasonable and honest fans of Purdue a few years ago.

You gotta have faith.......
I doNt disagree with the notion…but we had a great WR room and good QBs that needed experience. It seems to have come to fruition.
What does IU have though?
