Why didn’t they discuss this a couple of years ago? It feels like the knives are out for a President they know is failing their party and the country.
The corporate media all of a sudden cares about Biden’s age

I think both President Biden and former President Trump are too old to run for President in 2024.
I think Biden was too old to run in 2020.
They are also now concerned about the Biden Inc. foreign dealings and Hunter's issues. This is the way of pushing him aside. The longer he stays in this the more it will be discussed. Get out and it will go away. To think that the media did not know about the issues this family had and their level of corruption you would have to be an idiot. Remember that members of the Obama inner circle had a lot of issues with the way Biden's kid was pimping out foreign countries and creating problems for their State dept. Media bias isnt just what's reported. It's also what's not reported.
Everybody did and they knew it too. The media was serving their masters by ignoring the fact that he was too old to run in 2020.
In 2020 Biden was 78. In 2024 Trump will be 78. I personally think Biden was too old in 2020 and Trump will be too old to run in 2024. I just don’t understand why they are being considered as candidates.
For the every-loving sake of our country, Trump and Biden both need to retire and shut the hell up. Trump is uncouth and drives half the population insane, and that's not good, and Biden is supposed to be running the country and is so far gone mentally that the first two years of his presidency have given us possibly the worst presidency in the past forty years. That's also not good.
They both need to go away, and quickly. They all need to go away. No more Bushes, no more Clintons, no more Obamas, no more Bidens, no more Trumps. Simply go away, all of you. There are many young avatars that represent these guys more or less, but still are a bit different and a bit more tech, politically, and personally savvy - just give us DeSantis vs. Newsome 2024. It's still two bad choices, but at least they won't be in their 80s and hopefully will be less polarizing if we can all agree to turn off MSNBC, CNN and Fox News and just listen to what they say and then vote what we think is best.

And this is exactly why the media is starting to make an issue of Biden’s age. It’s their round about way of trying to convince the gullible that Trump is old. The only problem is that Trump is a very young 76 and Biden is a very old 79. Not a Trump fan but to say he’s too old is BS.

You can't run for president unless you're 35. It would be beneficial for us if we could cap the age someone could run for president at 65 at time of voting, IMO. That means the OLDEST president we would EVER have would be 73. That's old, but still doable. That's 30 years! If you're an exceptional candidate, you can get your political career together in 30 years and win the presidency. In fact, that's what we should be demanding as Americans - not trying to figure out which 80 year old we want to run the country. "Wow, EdwardElric, you're being blatantly ageist" <--, correct, that's because they are blatantly old.
The fact that we are staring down a possible 2024 election of divisive and twice impeached (and twice aquitted) 78 year old Donald Trump, and literally can't form sentences and has no idea what he's doing 81 year old Joe Biden, is absurd.
The US is supposed to be the leader of the free world and a metaphorical beacon on a hill. What in the everliving hell are we doing, guys.
You seem to be throwing the age argument out there because you don’t like Trump’s personality not because he’s suffering from cognitive decline.

I’d say I am very surprised at Trump’s appearance and cognitive abilities given his age and work stress. IIRC he’s never drank or was a smoker so it’s probably a good tell about the damage those vices can do.
Let’s be honest here. The DNC is kneecapping Biden. The problem is, Kamala is in the tank.
If there's an age minimum, there should be an age maximum.
This goes for holding public office, driving a car, owning a gun, signing up for the military, etc.
The truth is Biden is not running the country. He was chosen by the Ds because the powers that be knew he was enfeebled and could easily be manipulated. In essence, this is Obama’s third term. Since things are going badly Obama can act like he wants nothing to do with Biden but in reality Obama supports all of the Progressive policies that have been attempted to be foisted on America - Green New Deal, Build Back Better, universal healthcare, strict gun control, LGTBQ, packing the Supreme Court, adding Puerto Rico and DC as states, eliminating the filibuster, etc.
After he left office, Obama made an interesting comment in a speech saying something like “I wonder whether I was 10 or 20 years too early”.
Here I thought all of the Democrats were trying to say that this was all Biden’s “stutter”. Now, even people in the far left (because that’s who the NYT represents…hard core Democrats) are recognizing and ADMITTING that Biden isn’t fully functional all day.
Call it what it is. Alzheimers, cognitive decline, whatever. But now the DNC wants to admit age is an issue, so they can make sure to use the same reasoning for challenging Trump when he runs again….because that’s what most Democrats fear.

Knives are out from the media regarding Biden. The party has little to no use for the old man and they’re having him take a backseat. And it’s weird that all of their pieces about him being too old are all coming out at once. Not a coordinated attack or anything…
You have to assume they really wish they did at this point - I think a lot of people thought they were going to do that because it was the obvious smart move to do. Just simply not doing that has certainly been bold, and far dumber than I thought possible.
Maybe the Dems thought they could get the first woman, a woman of color at that, in as POTUS.
When they realized just how incompetent she was they figured slow Joe was still a better option.
