As a life long Purdue fan, I would like to thank the kids that put in years of hard work to give us a good team this year. We all feel bad about the way it ended, but there were great times this year too. Thank you again, sincerely.

There will be time for criticism, second guessing, arm chair coaching, etc. later. Tonight, let's give our emotions a rest, and just think about the kids that played the game and how they feel. Let's thank them for a great year. They made me proud with the way they carried themselves, the way the played the game, and the way they represented the University.

For you seniors: Best of luck in the coming years. Perhaps Karma has something more important with which to reward you later in your lives.

I understand your point. However, I hope these guys are extremely embarrassed about what took place this evening. I hope they are disappointed in the unrealized potential of this team. I hope they are chomping at the bit to get back in the gym and weight room. I wish them all well in whatever field they choose to pursue after their basketball careers at Purdue end. I am glad we haven't had off the court issues this year. I'm glad that we appear to run a clean program. As a fan, considering how a team is ultimately measured (its play), I'm embarrassed.

Can you let it go in this thread at least? Why be an ass? You need to back away from the keyboard, and stop acting as though you had anything more invested in this team than your warped pride. These kids worked their asses off to make this team good. They played as well as they could tonight. So, just stop.

Why would you "hope they were embarrassed"? of course they are. Jerk!

Sports is simulated warfare. It is not a place to showcase being nice, or showcase trying hard, or to showcase moral niceness. Sports is a place to fight a war without death involved. It is a zero sum game. One team wins and one team will lose 100 percent of the time. I agree with you ok hey you did good guys. I just cannot excuse this and am beyond disappointed. When you look at the entirety of this season it was a 4 year project with a McDonalds all-american tonight sitting on the bench. It was a coach literally coaching to lose this game. It isn't every year your team gets to this stage anymore either. I cannot be thankful for this. I would have much preferred a team that lost 20 games but fight like madmen playing every game like it is their last moment in life than a team like this that threw it all away. People expected results and were let down.
