Thank You Boilers.

It was a good season. When this year began,I doubted whether they could win a conference title and reach the sweet sixteen, but Purdue achieved both.It was a lousy ending, but life goes on.

Yep. Next year looks very promising. Assuming VE comes back, I think we are top 12.

I'll be shocked if Purdue opens next season ranked that high. My bet is they won't be ranked at all. The national media/perception has so heavily focused on Swanigan, everybody outside the program will be expecting a rebuild.

But....

I do think Purdue could finish the season that high --- assuming the senior class stays intact and healthy. I still believe most of the college basketball world tremendously undervalue Vincent Edwards, Isaac Haas, Dakota Mathias, and PJ Thompson.

We'll see.

I can see this happening also in the AP poll to open the season where everybody knows Biggie and Haas but that's about it when it comes to our team. We will have a senior lead team with lots of young talent being added as well as Taylor if he is healthy. I could see 18 to 20 in coaches poll and receiving votes in AP and another season of being somewhat underappreciated in the rankings but we should be steady all year long.

Thank you for a really good season! Regular season B1G champs. S16. Biggie a candidate for NPOY. Bringing back a winning culture and it was beautiful to watch the ball movement and shooting all season long. Seeing the year-to-year improvements for a lot of our players (not just Biggie) was really fun to see and look forward to seeing what our returning players improve upon for next year.

Just lost to a better team, plain and simple. No shame in that.

Boiler Up!!

A good year indeed. Consider Purdue had one blue chip recruit on the roster and most other sweet 16 have a number of them every year. Sweet that duke, arizona, among others who are loaded with AA's are out.

There's not a strong enough drink to make a 30 point loss feel good - tried last night.

That being said, this season was a success. Winning the BigTen outright, getting past the first week in the Dance. Beliving a Final Four was possible.

Realistically winning a NC are long odds for us and everyone in the field. But damn if we don't get up and try it again next year. We'll have a strong senior nucleus and by then my heart will be ready to hope once again.
