Northwestern (3-0) plays at home tonight against Mississinewa (2-1), which hasn't played since Tues.

Western started their season by losing at Lebanon before losing to NW at home. Doesn't get any easier for the small county school as they travel to city school Kokomo on Tues. night.

Never understood why Western(3A) always plays Kokomo(4A), and Northwestern(3A) never plays Kokomo. They are all close together in Howard County. I remember before the classes, NW would see Kokomo in the sectionals. Kokomo would win the Kokomo Sectional about 99% of the time back then. Come on Milan! LOL

Well Western has not always played Kokomo, but there were a few years Western was really good...about a decade ago. The Western AD was Larry Miller and not sure he had any close connections with Kokomo (think it was Tom Hale at the time). However, Andy Weaver (Western) had Brian McCauley (Kokomo coach at the time) as Andy's JV coach (at Western previously)...perhaps that also had something to do with it?

I think Kokomo wanted Andy and he sent them Brian...
