I like his game...just tough to find room for him...
Yes. He hung around the arc last yearI had no idea he could hit threes. Was this common knowledge?
Yes. Many on here have said he's a backup center (I guess because of his height), and it seemed to catch on. He's always had an outside game.I had no idea he could hit threes. Was this common knowledge?
Really? That is where you go? Jerk! That Chevypu guy just got a hard on.

LOL I didn't watch the game but when I came on the board tonight and saw Taylor's numbers my very first thought was "dang ChevyPu must have lost his sh!t" Probably will be an incomprehensible drunken post soon from ChevyPu about Taylor after the celebration that is taking place at the ChevyPu home tonight. That Chevypu guy just got a hard on.
Don't worry Chevy, I was screaming my head off at the TV when he hit back to back 3s.You all know my thoughts...love this kid and his passion for Purdue...big part of our future for sure at the 4 or 5.......
Boiler Up!
I think that he'll get most of his minutes backing up Haas next season. Being able to hit the three from the 5 spot will only open up the lane, if he can do it consistently. I think that his game will complement Biggie's, nicely.Yes. Many on here have said he's a backup center (I guess because of his height), and it seemed to catch on. He's always had an outside game.
He's going to be our secret weapon from here out. Need a 3? Send JT in and let the rain fall!I thought about PU52 at the end of the game when Taylor was draining 3's.
Just as an anecdote, when I was depressed and leaving Mackey after the loss to Iowa, Taylor was putting up shots in the practice gym. Nobody else was there with him.
I don't think you can take much from his stats against Rutgers, but I do like how he looked.
I was impressed with him, granted against awful competition, it was little things like hustle and energy. I liked the way he played and gives us hope after AJ.GOAT
Don't forget Weatherford...Taylor, Basil, Stephens, Cline, and Edwards/Thompson will be a solid bench next season
and it should be noted, the double-double was in just 14 minutes of play!No matter how weak the competition was, a double double is relatively hard to achieve. The Rutgers fans are probably thinking why Painter is still playing his regulars.
It was great to see JT get some PT and make the most of it. Boiler Up and Bottoms Up.Was at the game last night - first Purdue game since the Jamaal Davis / Cam Stephens era...
Taylor looked really smooth - hustled and was active on the offensive and defensive side... when he scored his first bucket, looked like Vince was pumped for him. It was really a pleasure to watch him get some minutes.
Side note - towards the end of the game, I'm pretty sure there were more Purdue fans in there than Rutgers fans.
Nothing like JT getting some PT surrounded by some AT...err A anyway...It was great to see JT get some PT and make the most of it. Boiler Up and Bottoms Up.
I think you and I have blown our horns fairly loudly over this kid.........I don't remember the hard on, but it was exciting!!!You all know my thoughts...love this kid and his passion for Purdue...big part of our future for sure at the 4 or 5.......

If Swanigan doesn't come, Taylor is a starter. I said earlier this year right before the season started I thought he would be a player. You all know my thoughts...love this kid and his passion for Purdue...big part of our future for sure at the 4 or 5.......

Post of the night. Congrats!I remember all of mine. 14 or 15 last year.

The Rutgers game would come as no surprise to those who followed (and believed) the training camp reports last year (JT's freshman year) was that JT was the most versatile player after Vince
If JT can stay healthy, work off the rust, regain the athleticism and confidence that he had pre-injury, he will be a valuable contributor as an upperclassman
