According to today’s edition of The New York Times, Tara Reade was dropped by #MeToo lawyer. She apparently lied about having a degree and about her qualifications to be an expert witness. Interesting article because people convicted based partly on her testimony are asking for new trials. And the question of whether or not she committed perjury is also an issue.

Tara Reade claims to have earned a degree from Antioch University and that she was an expert in domestic abuse. She then testified in several court cases as an expert. The University stated she never earned a degree from Antioch. I really don’t understand why people don’t understand that universities keep records. I suspect that one of the people who went to prison or his lawyer looked into her background to prove the innocence of her/his client????[/QUOTE]

Blasey Ford also had a questionable background that could have weakened her credibility too but the Dems refused to let that be discussed.

I've got a question as well, which all the pro-Tara folks are welcome to join in on too...
So the 2008 Obama campaign was a historical moment in history. The Obama team were professionals and well understood the need for careful vetting and the catastrophe the failure to properly vette the VP nominee would be. Unforseen disclosures can wreck a political campaign- see Thomas Eagleton to see exactly how that can work.
A friend of mine is the older brother of someone who was very involved in the Obama campaign and later worked in the Administration. So I know they left no stone unturned when they searched for possible skeletons in Biden's past. Had there been a Tara Reade story- Biden would never have been the VP nominee...
Now you may not accept that. But so then my question to the Tara fans is why didn't the McCain team, specifically the Palin Brigade discover this juicy nugget? Had Palin uncovered even a hint of scandal, don't you think THAT would have been the time to break the story? Palin debated Biden 1 on 1, she needed a miracle to try and turn the race completely around, and she never mentioned even a rumour about a sexual harassment incident in Biden's past?
That's because, like Blasey Ford, Tara Reade never came forward earlier. If there was any documentation regarding the so called complaint that Tara Reade made it was never accessed so it likely never existed or was hidden. It was reported(who knows if it was true) that some people went through the Biden docs at Univ of Delaware so maybe any evidence was destroyed. The Senate should have docs if they exist but as corrupt as our Gov is any docs will never be found if they did exist.
To be clear, I don't think that Tara Reade has a case against Biden any more than I thought Blasey Ford did against Kavanaugh. I think it is extremely hypocritcal that the Dems who were so over the top against Kavanaugh wont give Reade the time of day. This certainly puts the Dems in a bad light but does it really matter? Battle lines are drawn.

The issue here is the Blasey-Ford accusations were just as ridiculous but since it played into democrat hands they went full bore into “believe the victim”. When a Sanders backing socialist comes out to nuke Biden do you think this is a trump plot? Is this not just the same damn thing unless there’s some corroboration. Why the absolute 180?
Agree. If a women or man went through an assault , they should be taken seriously. However, I have a problem on both sides of the isle looking at bringing up dirt that is over 20 years old in order to score political points when due to time it can't be proven. No one wins
