You can't win with recruiting two stars....unless you're NAIA or D3 NCAA. He has good size for sure, but he's not been recruited by any power house schools. Wonder why?He does have good size. We can definitely use pass rushers, which is a huge understatement. I hope we can hang on to him, especially if he has a huge senior season. In the last few years, we have had bad luck with early commitments in a recruiting year when they blow up their senior year and the big programs come in late in the process.
Compared to E. Kentucky the only other school that was recruiting him way to go Hazell. He does have good size. We can definitely use pass rushers, which is a huge understatement. I agree that we can not be competitive by having only 2 star recruits all the time. I thought they said that NC State was recruiting him too. I don't know if they had offered, but they are a P5 team. You can't win with recruiting two stars....unless you're NAIA or D3 NCAA. I was just saying that we ended up losing people to Michigan, Stanford, etc. last year. He might be 2 star, but could blow up if he was under the radar. It has come to be a regular occurrence lately where a big senior season ends up costing us a long time verbal commitment, which would have been one of our highest rated players if they would have signed.
Very true. Unless we get some luck on our side this year, we are looking at terrible season number 4. I guess these are feelings that Indiana football fans have been going through for the better part of the last 20 years. It isnt just big time senioer seasons. its terrible seasons by Hazell that lead to recruits flipping elsewhere.
I'm not getting too attached to any 2017 football recruits, for several reasons.the way I see it by watching his video, he looks like he has some speed, good height and will fill out more, plus he wants to be a Boiler, glad to have the guy at Purdue
